Expanded Learning Program

We would like to share an important update regarding the ASES (After School Education and Safety) Program.
 
Beginning in the 2026–2027 school year, Turlock Unified School District will assume full operation of the ASES program. At that time, ASES will become part of one comprehensive Expanded Learning Program under TUSD, supporting students across all elementary school sites.
 
The City of Turlock will continue to operate the ASES program through the entire 2025–2026 school year. There will be no changes or disruptions to ASES services during this time, and all program operations will remain the same through the end of the school year.
 
Looking ahead, registration for the 2026–2027 school year will open in March 2026. More information will be shared as we get closer to the registration window.
 
We appreciate your partnership and look forward to continuing to support your students. We will continue to provide high‑quality Expanded Learning opportunities for students.

District Notification Timeline & Enrollment Updates for Fall 2026-2027

• District Goal: Families will be notified of their student’s status by May 29, 2026.
• Registration & Waitlist:
  When families register, all students are automatically placed on a waitlist. All students are waitlisted until released for enrollment.
• Phone Line Outage (03/23/2026):
  Our phone lines were temporarily down on March 23, 2026. Thank you for your patience, all lines are now back up and running.
• Intradistrict Transfers & Lottery Schools:
  If your student is attending a school through intradistrict transfer or lottery, you will need to log in to Community Pass and update your student's school of attendance.
• Duplicate Accounts: If a family has a duplicate account in Community Pass  those accounts will need to be merged . This is done through Community Pass and families can do this on their end.
• Student information accuracy: Families need to ensure students are registered under the correct current grade, school and date of birth. If an incorrect grade or birthdate is entered, you will need to contact the Expanded Learning office.
• If you don’t see ASES listed, please register under the Expanded Learning tab. If you are looking for the ASES or ELOP program, please note that we are one comprehensive program called the Expanded Learning Program.

Summer Expanded Learning Programs Update

Families will be notified of Summer Expanded Learning Program enrollment by Friday, March 27, 2026.

• Before School - 7:00 AM until school starts
• TK/K - 1/2 day program
• After school - end of school - 6:00 PM

Summer School 2026 registration for the Expanded Learning Program will open on Monday, February 2nd at 8:00 AM.

Program Information
Dates: June 4, 2026 - July 17, 2026 (No school on June 19th & July 3rd)
Time: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Sites: Crowell, Osborn, Earl (Dutcher 6th-grade students can attend any of these sites).
Grades: Current TK-6th-grade TUSD students

Note: Students who are English Learners (ELs), Foster Youth, or eligible for Free/Reduced-Price Meals (FRPM) have priority enrollment.

This program is FREE, and transportation will align with the summer school routes.
