American Fidelity Open Enrollment

  • American Fidelity Open Enrollment will be held from October 11th to November 12th; all appointments will be virtual. TUSD is contracted with American Fidelity Assurance Company to provide employees with pre-tax benefits under Section 125 of the Internal Revenue Code (or the IRS).

    1. Staff MUST make an appointment if they want to renew their Section 125 Flex Accounts (Health FSA or Daycare). These 2 plans do NOT continue without a new election form.
    2. If an employee has Disability Insurance & their salary has changed, they MUST make an appointment so their coverage is updated to their new pay. This does NOT auto update.
    3. There are TWO new optional services this year: a pre-taxed Hospital Indemnity coverage & a new Chronic Illness Rider that is similar to Long Term Care that can be added onto NEW Texas Life Policies.

This information affects every employee in the District; in order for you to continue receiving this tax-exempt benefit and due to recent changes in TUSD medical plans and IRS rules and regulations, the District has agreed to allow American Fidelity to meet with every employee in the District to secure a compliant signed election form and to provide you with available plan options to take advantage of all possible opportunities to increase your take home pay.

Please visit the scheduling link below to schedule your appointment with American Fidelity today.
