All student/athletes must have a signed Athletic Agreement (by parents/guardian and student) on file prior to participating in his/her first inter-scholastic event of the school year. This agreement is updated on an annual basis. Forging of documents contained within the completed athletic packet will result in removal from the athletic program and/or penal code/education code violations/consequences.
In addition to CIF regulations, THS’s Athletic Department possesses its own. Parents and students sign an acknowledgment of these regulations before participating in a sport. These regulations require suspension from a team for smoking, drinking, or drugs - on or off campus. Students and parents are advised to review these regulations closely when signing.
TUSD does not carry student accident insurance. State law requires that any student who wishes to participate in inter-scholastic sports must have adequate evidence of primary medical insurance PRIOR to being allowed to participate. This means all athletes must provide proof of insurance PRIOR to being able to tryout for any sport (copies of front and back of insurance card).
