Turlock High School (THS) was established in 1906 and for over 100 years has been a campus rich in “blue and gold” tradition and has benefitted from an extensive history of “Bulldog” community support. We serve a socially and ethnically diverse student body of approximately 2,500 with a focus on getting students both college and career ready. Four years of high school are meant to prepare you for the future, thus we strongly encourage students to take advantage of the many opportunities on campus and make your high school experience a meaningful and memorable one.
THS offers many educational opportunities such as Advanced Placement courses, a-g college prep courses and Career Technical Education (CTE) courses; Agriculture, Auto, Business, Computer Programming, Criminal Justice, Engineering, Foods, Health and Family Studies. We also offer a multitude of other elective opportunities in Fine Arts, Music, Foreign Language, and our nationally recognized Naval Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (NJROTC) Program. We offer numerous co- and extra-curricular activities on campus including over 50 clubs (i.e. Chess, FFA, FBLA, Drama, HOSA, HYLC, Key, Math, Science Olympiad, Speech, Yearbook, etc.) and 13 highly competitive athletic team sports. In addition, we have 5 academic counselors, 1 college and career counselor and a Career Center to help students plan and prepare for the future.
The overall goal of THS is to focus on student learning, acquire a high school diploma and prepare students for life after high school in order to become productive 21st Century citizens. THS staff and student leadership groups will help students reach this goal. Students should seek their respective counselor if they find themselves experiencing difficulty in school, having a problem with peers or need information regarding classes, athletics, clubs or activities. We encourage students to connect to school in a positive manner to make the four years of high school enjoyable.
