Principal's Message

  • August 2020
    Dear Parents, Guardians and Students,
Welcome to a new school year! We begin this school year with distance learning and look forward to returning to in-person learning as soon as we are able. Whether we are teaching in-person or through remote-distance learning, we have high expectations for our student’s academic and social-emotional growth and success.

This handbook is designed to serve as a guide concerning the policies and regulations of our school and the school district. These guidelines provide the structure necessary to ensure that Julien Elementary is a safe and effective learning environment. The majority of this handbook reflects expectations for traditional, in-person learning. Distance learning adds to these expectations with actions that will take place in the home, such as, being prepared by logging in on time, engaging in learning, treating others with respect, and completing assignments. Please read and discuss this handbook with your child and keep it as a reference throughout the year.

At Julien Elementary School we seek to establish and value our partnerships with parents/guardians. We invite and encourage you to become actively involved in our school throughout the year. There are a variety of ways to become involved, which include engaging in regular communication with your child’s teacher, joining the Parent Teacher Association (PTA), School Site Council (SSC), English Learners Advisory Council (ELAC), etc. By working together as parents and educators, we can build a foundation for your child/children’s lifelong learning.
Please feel free to contact our office if you should have any questions or concerns. We are looking forward to a wonderful year with your family.
