If you have anyone contacting you to file, please feel free to send them this link or have them go to our website . They will not be able to file their papers until the Candidate Filing Period begins on July 13, 2020. However, they can view offices to be filled, download the Candidate’s Handbook, get the application for voter data, and get information to make in person filing appointments. Move from Odd to Even Year Elections

At the February 21, 2017, Board of Trustees Meeting, the Governing Board adopted Resolution No. 19/2016-17 approving the rescheduling of Board member elections from odd to even year elections.  This Resolution was approved at the April 4, 2017, Stanislaus County Board of Supervisors meeting to consolidate and Hold Future Elections on the Same Day as the Statewide General Election Conducted in Even-numbered Years.

Move to by Trustee Election System

The Turlock Unified School District completed the process of moving from an "at large" election system to "by-Trustee" Area elections with Areas 1, 3, 5 and 7 in the November 2015 election and previously Areas 2, 4, and 6 in the November 2013 election.

The Stanislaus County Committee approved the election change following a public hearing on December 15, 2010. Using 2010 census data, proposed trustee area maps for seven trustee areas were drawn using an outside firm. The District held public hearings on June 7 and 21, 2011, to gather input on the trustee area maps.  At the February 5, 2013, meeting the Board approved the final map.
