2022-2023 COVID-19 Information
We are very excited for the 2022-2023 school year and appreciate the support from the community as we take every step to preserve the health of students and staff while prioritizing in-person learning.
Since the onset of the pandemic, TUSD has followed state and local health guidance and directives to allow for full in-person instruction in the safest way possible. TUSD’s COVID-19 Safety Plan is continuously evolving to meet current health directives.
This summer the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) released updated guidance for K-12 schools. Please note that mask wearing is still strongly recommended by the state and is an option for every student and staff member who wishes to wear one at any time. Other safety measures such as the daily self-screening, cleaning procedures, group exposure notifications, and improved air filtration will remain in place. TUSD will continue to work with the Stanislaus County Public Health Officer as local jurisdictions may have additional requirements beyond the state guidance.
We appreciate the flexibility our students, staff, and community have demonstrated over the past two years. We know that schools are the best places for staff to teach and students to learn and we are committed to keeping them safe and open.
