Message from the Director
Welcome to Turlock Unified School District Career Technical Education!
TUSD ensures every student graduates high school with the knowledge and skills necessary to be fully college and career-ready. Career Technical Education courses are designed to provide students with real-world experiences as they explore their career options. We currently offer over 40 courses embedded within 10 Industry Sectors. Our website contains the sites that offer these courses as well as descriptions of the skills and knowledge students will gain upon completion of those courses.
It is our hope that students will explore the world of CTE and complete a course of study prior to graduation. A CTE Pathway is a sequence of courses in an Industry Sector. The courses build on the knowledge and skills acquired in the sequence of classes, concluding with a Capstone course, signifying the completed pathway. During this course of study, students can earn industry-recognized certifications, gain valuable current job readiness skills, engage in internships and much more. Students who complete a pathway will also be given a CTE cord to proudly wear at their high school graduation ceremony!
On behalf of our CTE instructors, administrators and district staff, we are confident that our students will fully enjoy the CTE programs at their sites and leave TUSD well-prepared to enter the job force or college…or both!
