Knowledge Saves Lives: Active Threat Training
Turlock Unified School District will be partnering with Knowledge Saves Lives to conduct Active Threat Training for all elementary staff on Wednesdays from September 21-October 19. Access to school campuses after school will be impacted.
9/21-10/19, two sites every Wednesday (one site on 9/21):
9/21 – Cunningham
9/28 – Julien, Crowell
10/5 – Medeiros, Osborn
10/12 – Walnut, Wakefield

School offices will be closed on their assigned training day and access to campus will not be available after 12 noon. The field, office, classrooms, and parking lot areas of schools will be closed. No students, with the exception of those enrolled in ASES/PLAY programs, and afternoon Head Start will be allowed on campus during this time. Provisions are being made to support ASES/PLAY & Head Start during this training. An alternative pickup location for ASES/PLAY will be provided, gates will be locked, and the office will be closed during this time.
Please be aware that part of this training involves discharging blank rounds to simulate the sound of gunfire. The Turlock Police Department, first responders, and surrounding businesses are aware of this training.
Thank you for your understanding and support of our efforts to strengthen school security in TUSD.
