PHS Construction Updates
As part of the Measure O bond passed by Turlock Voters November 2016 and other funding sources, Pitman High School is being secured with fencing, a single point of entry, new playfields, and a new culinary arts facility as part of a renovation project to address equitable playfields, campus security, student programs, fire, life, safety, and ADA upgrades.
Currently, the following construction is in-progress at Pitman High School:
- Security Fencing/Single Point of Entry: The new entry via the front office is complete with the exception of some minor details and the security fencing project is complete.
- Culinary Arts Facility: Work on a new culinary arts facility have just begun and will continue throughout the school year. There should be minimal to no impact on the school during construction.
- Playfield Renovations: All planned playfield renovations are complete, the artificial turf playfield and synthetic track are ready for the start of school, the grass playfields will be available soon as the grass continues to germinate. Renovations included two new softball fields, a new practice soccer field, an artificial turf playing field, and a synthetic track.
