Changing Class Schedule
In an effort to provide access and opportunity to all students’ curricular and co-curricular requests, only changes relating to students’ academic, athletic, or work experience needs are made after August 1st. Students should make an appointment with their counselor if such a schedule change is needed. NO changes will be made relating to choice of lunch, teacher, or elective course. If a student's counselor approves a schedule change, the student receives a notice to report to the bookroom. Books are exchanged as appropriate, and the student will then report to the new class. Students should not leave their books with their teacher.

Dropping a Class
Students are not allowed to drop a course after the 20th day of instruction. Students who choose to will receive a "withdrawal with an F grade."

Outside Course Credit
All courses taken for credit at THS are approved by the Board of Trustees, the Director of Curriculum, and the Principal. THS students are expected to take core curricula courses offered at THS. Courses taken for the following reasons may fulfill THS graduation requirements:
- Courses taken at other high schools (transfer students, summer school)
- Courses taken to replace failed (D-F) courses
- Courses taken to strengthen a sequence of courses (i.e. Algebra II)
- Any online courses taken by students in the TUSD must have received prior approval from Assistant Superintendent Heidi Lawler in order to receive full credit from the participating institution.
