Principal's Message

  • Dear Julien Families and Students,

Welcome to the 2019 – 2020 school year at Julien Elementary School.  We are looking forward to another excellent year of learning for students, where they feel supported to achieve their highest potential for academic success.  We work each day to ensure that all students feel cared for, safe, and part of our Julien Mustang family.

We will continue to focus upon building strong partnerships with you throughout this school year in order to effectively impact your child’s education.  As part of this partnership, we ask that you continue to guide and support your child’s learning by ensuring that he/she attends school each day and arrives on time, ready for the day’s learning.

The first day of school is on Monday, August 12, 2019, for all students.  This will be an early dismissal day for first through sixth grade, which will begin at 8:30 a.m. and dismiss at 12:24 p.m.  AM kindergarten will begin at 8:25 a.m. and dismiss at 11:49 a.m., and TK/PM kindergarten will begin at 11:50 a.m. and dismiss at 3:14 p.m.

Please join me in welcoming our new Assistant Principal, Jay Brem.  We are both eager to see you and your students on campus on the first day of school and invite you to join us on Wednesday, August 28th for Back to School Night.  We will begin with a presentation about school programs and safety in the cafeteria at 5:30 p.m. in the cafeteria.  The classroom/teacher presentations will then follow, from 6 – 7 p.m.

I am honored to continue to serve as the principal of Julien Elementary School, and I look forward to a great year of providing the best educational opportunities available to our students.  Together, WE will continue to make a difference in the lives of our children!

Thank you for all you do for your child.  Please email me at or call me at (209) 667-0891 if you have any questions.
