Pitman High School is in the process of forming the English Language Advisory Committee (ELAC). The purpose of ELAC is to advise the principal and school staff on programs and services for English learners. The ELAC also assists the school on other tasks listed below:
- The school’s needs assessment.
- The school’s annual language census or R-30.
- Efforts to make parents aware of the importance of regular school attendance.
Members of the ELAC committee will serve for two (2) years. At Pitman High School the ELAC will meet at least four (4) times during the school year. This year due to Covid-19, meetings will be held through the Zoom platform until in person meetings are allowed.
If you are interested in serving as an ELAC member, please complete the online ELAC Nomination Form in English by clicking here or in Spanish by clicking here.
