7th Grade GATE Club
Purpose: To plan Service Learning opportunities for their school and community. Visit college campuses, host events for local elementary students and offer College and Career Expo to our TJHS students!

Academic Pentathlon
Purpose: To prepare for a county competition

Ag-Farm Club
Purpose: To learn about plants and farm animals. 8th grade students will be able to start fair projects prior to high school.
Who can join: Open to all students who are interested in plants and farm animals.

Purpose: Watch and draw anime and have discussions.

Purpose: Create/watch/discuss art. Projects will vary.

Builders Club
Purpose: Community service-based club that helps different organizations, including our school. The idea is to "build" future leaders.

Chess Club
Purpose: To have fun and learn how to play chess

CJSF (California Junior Scholarship Federation)
Purpose: To join a statewide organization that encourages positive attributes and be eligible for a scholarship for college one day.
Who can join: Any student with good grades and good behavior. First quarter is open to 8th graders only, but 7th graders could join starting 2nd quarter.

Purpose: To create, share, and discuss original works of creative writing.

Cross Country Running and Conditioning
Purpose: To promote teamwork, healthy bodies/mind
Who can join: Everyone is welcome

First Priority
Purpose: To encourage friends to understand the importance of living in relationship with God, serve as a resource to help students enhance their spiritual lives and provide an opportunity to integrate beliefs into daily living.

Purpose: To provide a safe place for LGBTQ students.
Who can join: To provide a safe place for LGBTQ students.

Purpose: Watch movies, read books, discussion, etc.

Purpose: It is about mentorship and community service

In Action Running Club
Purpose: Develop a love of running, social skills, confidence and success in life. Athletes will participate in local races, includes one--three miles.
Who can join: Open to all students.
Days/Times/Place of meeting: Starts Friday 9/27, Thursday & Friday, track field, 2:30-3:30 (Bring running shoes and water)

P.H.A.S.T. JV
Purpose: Protecting Health And Slamming Tobacco focuses on tobacco awareness and prevention, along with other topics, i.e. drug and bully awareness

Purpose: Be Peace Ambassadors, plan, and facilitate No Bully Solution activities.

Roaring Tigers
Purpose: To have fun and enhance social skills and sportsmanship while playing sports.
Who can join: Open to all students.
Days/Times/Place of meeting: 1-2 times/week during lunch on the track field; listen to TVL.

Science Olympiad
Purpose: To compete against other schools in a battle of wisdom, labs and build activities.
Who can join: Anyone can join, but there are try out days where students will have to take a test. Team can only have 18 members total.

Purpose: Present a mock speech tournament and spark an interest for students to continue at the high school level.

Purpose: Raise awareness of ways that Science, Technology, Engineering and Math are at work, and where students can go to learn more about them

Student Court
Purpose: The mission of Student Court is to come up with peaceful solutions to problems. Students will learn about the role of the law and the judicial system
Who can join: All students are eligible to apply, but only 25-30 will be selected

Purpose: To prepare for math competition.

Tiger Six-String Ensemble (Guitar Club)
Purpose: Explore the importance of the guitar as vehicle for creative expression and develop a genuine interest in guitar playing in multiple music genres. Students must provide their own acoustic guitar.
