Parent/teacher conferences are a key part of promoting successful two-way communication.  They provide an opportunity for teachers and parents to step back from the day-to-day classroom events and take stock of how students are doing academically, socially, and emotionally.  They are also an important vehicle for helping parents understand how they can become involved in their child’s education.

I strongly encourage you to make time in your schedule to meet with your student’s teachers during our parent/teacher conferences which will take place October 17th and 18th for our 7th and 8th grade students. All 7th and 8th grade students will be dismissed at 12:49 P.M. on these days. Conferences will take place in the teachers’ classrooms.

Parent/teacher conferences for our 6th grade students will take place November 8th through 15th.  Conferences will take place in the teachers’ classrooms. All 6th grade students will be dismissed at 12:15 P.M. during the conferences dates (Nov. 8th – Nov. 16th).

Thank you for visiting our website. I am honored to begin my 11^th year as principal. Dutcher Middle School prides itself in providing a challenging and engaging learning experience for all of our students. Dutcher has proven to be one of the highest performing middle schools throughout Stanislaus County.  We are very proud of this reputation and strive to maintain that high expectation each year.

Parent involvement is a crucial element in building student success. One of my goals each year as principal is to ensure that our parents are involved in their students’ student activities as much as possible. On Wednesday, September 4^th beginning at 6:00 P.M. Dutcher Middle School will be hosting its annual Back-to-School Night. This is a wonderful opportunity for you to meet your students’ teachers and to learn about the activities and expectations throughout the school year. Information regarding Back-to-School night will be sent home with your student.
