Principal's Newsletter

  • I would like to welcome everyone to the start of the 2022-2023 academic school year. We are very excited and are looking forward to working with all of our Osborn families, in particular, our young Lion scholars.

There has been a lot of planning and preparation for the new school year and I can assure you that our staff is committed to providing an excellent academic and nurturing environment for your child.

In response to the challenging past two years, we have outlined the following three priorities.

1 - Social Emotional Development – We will continue efforts to ensure the social-emotional well-being of all students. We want to help our students develop positive relationships with one another, and to feel emotionally and physically safe at school.

2 - Student Academic Growth - We will take a strategic approach to addressing learning loss. We want to help our students catch up on any learning they have missed out on over the past two years while also continuing to challenge students performing at or above grade level.

3 - Three Pillars of Dual Language Program - As we continue to respond to the impact of the past two years, we’re recommitting to our mission and to a successful implementation of the three pillars of a Dual Language Program (Biliteracy, High Achievement in both languages, and Sociocultural Competency).

In addition to our three priorities, we will also focus on ensuring that ongoing site construction projects do not negatively impact our students' overall experience at Osborn. Please stay tuned for construction updates and information regarding student drop-off and pick-up. Student safety will continue being prioritized.
