Renaissance Incentive Program

Renaissance is an academic incentive program, which provides privileges and prizes to students for performing at their personal best. Each quarter students can earn one of four cards, depending on their grade point average (GPA). All students are eligible to earn a Renaissance Card and the privileges that go along with being a cardholder.

Gold Card	3.5-4.0 GPA
Purple Card	3.0-3.49 GPA
Orange Card	2.0 average/ no "F"
White Card	.5 improvement in GPA

Perfect Attendance

Students who have perfect attendance for each quarter will receive special recognition.

Certificates

Students who do a specific task well or perform well in some way will receive a "Certificate" which can be redeemed for prizes. This card is good for one time only. Certificate days are held approximately twice a month.

Student of the Month

Each month four (4) students are recognized as "Students of the Month" and will have their names submitted to the Turlock Journal for publication.

Top Tiger

Each quarter, staff members nominate students who do a good job and are helpful in class and/or on campus. These students are eligible for a Top Tiger card that can be used all year on certificate days. Interdisciplinary teams provide other rewards/ assemblies/ yearbook party.

 Assemblies

Assemblies are scheduled throughout the school year. Because of Turlock's fie reputation for having supportive audiences, groups, and individual contact the school to schedule performances. Team rallies are held throughout the year. Special Renaissance assemblies will be provided to "Gold Card" recipients.

Honor Roll

We are proud of students who achieve grades, which place them in the top 20% of their class. Each quarter students are recognized for academic achievement. Those students who have earned a grade point average of 3.0 will be placed on the Honor Roll. Those students who have a grade point average of 3.5 or better qualify for the "Principal's Honor Roll" and receive an Honor Roll Certificate.

Super Citizens

All the staff at TJHS appreciates outstanding citizenship. Each quarter, students who receive five "O's" (O = Outstanding) for citizenship on their report card will receive a special treat. If a student has 4 "O's" and one of those "O's" is in the two-period language arts class, they will also receive the Super Citizens reward.

Promotion Ceremony Awards (8th Grade)

Students who are maintaining 3.0 - 4.0 grade point average in all classes, including P.E. and electives, during the seventh (7th) and eighth (8th) grade years will be recognized at the June Promotion Ceremony by the awarding of the following:

Gold Medallion	4.0 GPA
Gold Cord	3.5 - 4.0 GPA
White Cord	3.0 - 3.49 GPA
