Downtown Turlock

Below are photos of the recently refurbished Main Street in downtown Turlock. The City has invested several million dollars to install widened brick sidewalks, brick pedestrian crossings, trees, old fashion street lights and plenty of off-street parking. The absence of cars and pedestrians is due to a Sunday morning "photo op" on Memorial Day Weekend.
As has been the case in most towns, our major shopping has moved from the downtown to our shopping malls and the city's extensive commercial strip. Subsequently, our rustic business district has undergone a major transformation that includes several specialty shops and a growing number of small restaurants.

Turlock is a unique community with a unique downtown and a unique school district. It's a great place to teach, live and raise your children.

Where is Turlock?

Turlock is located in approximately the exact center of California, half-way between Fresno and Sacramento along Highway 99 in California's vast Central Valley. We are also approximately 100 miles southeast of San Francisco.
