Schools in Turlock Unified School District
Turlock Unified School District is made up of one Extended Day Kindergarten school, nine Elementary schools, two Junior High/Middle schools, two comprehensive High schools, and two Continuation/Alternative Education High schools.
John H. Pitman High School was the last high school opened in 2001. It is located on the northeast area in Turlock with a current enrollment of 2200 students in 9th - 12th grade.
Sandra Tovar Medeiros Elementary School was opened on February 22, 2006. It is located in the Rose Circle subdivision, also in the northeast area of Turlock with a current enrollment of 700 students in Kindergarten - 6th grades.
In the summer of 2007, we opened Walnut Education Center. This is a elementary magnet school specializing in Math/Science, and Visual and Performing Arts. There is an enrollment of 760 students which are enrolled from a lottery.
